Free HERMES educational posters for schools

HERMES is pleased to offer a set of 5 educational posters about ocean and earth science free of charge to schools and educational groups. The posters were designed by postgraduate students at the National Oceanography Centre, Southampton, with the help of school pupils at Hamble Comumnity Sports College, Southampton. The posters give a general overview of the following topics and are suitable for ages 12 upwards:

  • Seascapes: A hidden world under the ocean
  • Deep-sea mud: The key to climate change
  • Deep-sea habitats: Beasts from the deep!
  • Fiery ice: Fuel from the deep sea?
  • Deep-sea fishing: What price a fish supper?

The posters are full colour and A1 in size (59cm x 84cm). To request a set of posters for your school, please fill in the form below. Please note that due to high demand, the posters are limited to a maximum of 3 sets per school or organisation. Please note: we have been overwhelmed with demand in recent weeks - we have plenty of stock, but not enough pairs of hands to get them into the post, so please bear with us if there is some delay in getting your posters to you!
